Webflow & Shopify website for social impact label Gelukszoekers

Jesse

Jesse Nieuwenhuijzen

Gelukszoekers fights xenophobic rhetoric by selling sustainably made t-shirts, sweaters, and accessories with the “Gelukszoeker” label, helping refugee causes through awareness and donations.

Challenge

The platform needed to:
Show clear support for refugees and shift public perception
Offer eco-friendly merchandise to raise funds and awareness
Combine storytelling with a smooth, secure shopping experience
Make it easy for the team to update content and manage the shop

Solution

I led the Webflow development and built a Shopify-powered storefront integration using Smootify, working closely with We Met Before and Wondr Agency:
Fully responsive Webflow front-end tailored to the campaign’s story
Smootify integration connecting Webflow to Shopify for shop management and checkout
CMS for easy updates to content, products, and stock
Clean, scalable structure ready for future campaigns

Result

The site now:
A clear and consistent platform that supports refugees
A secure and user-friendly shopping experience
Easy internal updates for products and campaign content
Note: I was responsible for the full Webflow development and e-commerce integration via Smootify, connecting the site to a Shopify backend. The project was a collaboration with We Met Before  and Wondr Agency. Credits for strategy, design and project management go to them.
