INT. SMALL APARTMENT - MORNING

The camera pans across a modest but cozy apartment. Photographs on the walls show happy memories: a couple in love, a wedding, vacations. The SUN streams through the window, bathing the room in a warm glow.

INT. BEDROOM - CONTINUOUS

JAMES (35), a well-groomed man with a weary look, wakes up. He glances at the CLOCK: 7:00 AM. He reaches over to the other side of the bed, but it's empty.

JAMES

(sighing)

Another day...

INT. KITCHEN - LATER

James makes coffee, the routine motions giving away his practiced ease. He pours two cups, setting one on the table, untouched.

INT. LIVING ROOM - LATER

James picks up his phone, scrolling through messages. One from "SARAH" catches his eye. It reads: "Don't forget, today at 3 PM. I love you."

He smiles wistfully, a mix of joy and sorrow in his eyes.

INT. APARTMENT - FLASHBACK

The screen fades to a BRIGHTER version of the apartment. JAMES and SARAH (30), a vibrant woman with an infectious smile, are laughing, dancing around the living room. It’s clear they are deeply in love.

SARAH

(pulling him close)

Promise me, you'll never forget.

JAMES

(smiling)

I promise.

INT. SMALL APARTMENT - PRESENT

James snaps out of his reverie, a determined look on his face. He grabs a small, wrapped GIFT from a drawer and heads out.

EXT. CITY STREETS - DAY

James walks through the bustling city. The world moves around him in a blur, but he remains focused, determined. He stops at various spots, each triggering a flashback of him and Sarah sharing special moments: a park bench, a coffee shop, a bookstore.

INT. COFFEE SHOP - FLASHBACK

SARAH and JAMES sit across from each other, their hands intertwined.

SARAH

(excitedly)

This is our spot, forever.

JAMES

(firmly)

Forever.

INT. COFFEE SHOP - PRESENT

James sits alone, staring at the empty seat opposite him. He leaves the gift on the table, a small card attached: "For Sarah, always."

EXT. GRAVEYARD - AFTERNOON

James stands at a grave, his face etched with pain and longing. The headstone reads: "SARAH MILLER - Beloved Wife, Forever in our Hearts."

JAMES

(softly)

I kept my promise, Sarah. I'll never forget.

EXT. GRAVEYARD - FLASHBACK

James and Sarah, now in wedding attire, stand before the same grave. They place flowers on a nearby headstone.

SARAH

(teary-eyed)

No matter what, we'll always come here. Together.

JAMES

(choked up)

Together.

EXT. GRAVEYARD - PRESENT

James kneels, placing the gift at Sarah’s grave. He sits beside it, the weight of the day evident on his face.

EXT. CITY STREETS - EVENING

James walks back home, the city now bathed in the soft glow of twilight. He looks up, spotting a couple dancing in a nearby park, reminiscent of him and Sarah.

INT. SMALL APARTMENT - NIGHT

James enters, greeted by silence. He sits at the dining table, looking at the untouched coffee cup.

JAMES

(to the empty chair)

Happy anniversary, my love.

The camera pulls back, showing James sitting alone, the apartment filled with memories of a love that transcends time.
