This project leverages the raw SEC.gov API to provide robust search capabilities, including options for keywords, CIK, date range, form type, and more.
Key Contributions:
Full-Cycle Development: Led the entire development process, from graphic design to frontend and backend implementation.
Frontend Development: Built a responsive and intuitive interface using React for seamless user interaction.
API Integration: Integrated the SEC.gov API to enable advanced search functionality and efficient data retrieval.
Backend Development: Developed the backend using Django, ensuring secure and scalable processing of search queries and data management.
ElasticSearch Setup: Configured and optimized ElasticSearch to enhance search performance and handle large-scale data efficiently.
Web Scraper Design: Built a Python-based scraper capable of accepting diverse search criteria and returning well-structured, clean data.
Utilized BeautifulSoup and Pandas to extract key financial data, such as stock prices, and transform it for visualization.
Hosting on AWS: Deployed the application on AWS, ensuring high availability, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
