This is a youtube shorts edit I did for my client, describing the bad effects of being addicted to TikTok.

YouTube Shorts are short-form, vertical videos that are optimized for mobile viewing, are becoming increasingly popular, and offer monetization opportunities for creators.

Creating an eye catchy short requires it to have 1. Trendy effects 2. Right background music 3. Effective transitions 4. Bold captions 5. Right use of sound effects Goals/Requirements: 1. Shorts to be edited in Alex Hormozi style 2. Snappy and quick cuts 3. Trendy sound effects 4. Use of emojis 5. Transitions and effects where needed

I started off by cutting the raw footage and removing any stutters or noise in the audio.

After the video is properly cut, I started by adding the captions in the required style and font. Also added the transitions and effects to it.

As the captions are done, I added special effects and emojis.

Lastly, I tried finding the right soundtrack for the background music and added that, and finalized it by adding sound effects wherever it was needed.

This project helped me to learn a particular style of editing shorts and gave me insights on how to use captions effectively to keep viewers attention.
