Logo and brand identity system for Tonic Studios a screen print and design studio in Columbus, Ohio. Graphic applications for print as well as environmental.
Primary, secondary logos and symbol. The concept for branding was to stick close to the elements of the printing process. Custom droplet shapes to represent ink. A color palette of primary colors is used to represent the basis of color theory. Though CMYK is widely considered the industry standard for full color printing, Tonic Studios minimizes print colors when possible to save their clients on print cost. Plus, it's amazing how far mixing inks on press can go. Truly magic sometimes.
The team wanted a second logo option, something a little more funky for tees, stickers and other branded merch. This hand lettered script logo alternative was developed.
