Safety Patch is a product created by the startup Home Health Systems to monitor the activity of older adults remotely, using a simple and small device attached to the skin.

In this type of animated explainer video, focused on monitoring the activity and well-being of older adults, it’s always a challenge to find the right tone. The characters and overall aesthetic need to convey trust, care, and reassurance, while still respecting the seriousness of the subject.

At the same time, the visual language must remain approachable and human, staying within a clean, friendly, and slightly cartoon-inspired style without undermining the importance of the message.

My role in this project: Art direction, design, storyboarding, animation, video editing, and sound. Working for Ajax Creative, Toronto, Canada.
