Nissan has joined hands with the International Cricket Council (ICC) to become the official car partner of the 2023 ODI World Cup.
As part of this partnership, Nissan is all set to launch a special edition of the Magnite Kuro SUV, which is also the official car of the marquee tournament.
Though the car is yet to be launched officially in the Indian market, Nissan has already opened pre-booking on its official website. Customers who wish to purchase the brand-new Magnite model can place their orders at a token amount of only Rs 11,000. Nissan, however, is yet to reveal the price tag for the four-wheeler and it is expected to be announced in October ahead of the ODI World Cup.
The Magnite compact SUV is the only car from Nissan available in the Indian auto market. The car manufacturer will launch the Magnite special edition in four variants including XV, MT, Turbo XV MT and Turbo XV CVT. Setting it apart from the base model, Nissan has opted for unique badging and incorporated a host of distinctive styling elements in the design of the Magnite Kuro special edition. The car will feature an all-black exterior and a matching and improved interior.
The Magnite special edition will come with a black grille, roof rails and skid plate. The alloy wheels will also don a striking black finish, while the headlamps, both front and rear, will feature stylish black finishers and special badges.
Inside the cabin, the SUV will boast of a gloss-black instrument panel. The other elements of the interior like accents and door trim inserts will also get a dark tone. Other feature highlights include a 60-degree camera, a centre console armrest with rear AC vents, floor mats, wider IRVM, and an option for wireless charging.
Under the hood, the Nissan Magnite currently offers two powertrain options. The 1.0-litre petrol engine, which is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, generates a maximum power of 71 bhp and a peak torque of 96 Nm. While, the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine comes equipped with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). It is capable of producing a 99 bhp of maximum power of 160 Nm of torque.
The all-new Nissan Magnite Kuro is also part of the ICC ODI World Cup trophy tour across different cities in India. The event enables the opportunity for fans to click 360-degree pictures of the coveted trophy as well as the official car of the tournament, an all-black Magnite Kuro.
