Full Indie Identity

I designed the logo and identity for Vancouver's Full Indie, an indie game dev community and annual conference. I made the a logo and identity package for their 2018 conference—including social media graphics, banner designs, slide templates, and poster designs.

It was a challenge to get the right look and feel. The client wanted something that felt bold, whimsical, engaging and modern—while stepping away from their traditional branding that evoked retro gaming. We went through lots of initial concepts that played on variations of the name and the flow of the "F" and "I" letters, before landing on the correct flow of shapes shown in the final logo.

The final logo and wordmark combination features a large "F" and "I" that are formed out of lots of small shapes flowing together. It works in tandem with the complete title, as well as on its own for other applications that need a more condensed logo.

I also used the same flowing shapes style to produce a stylized portrait of the Vancouver city skyline, for additional social media graphics and marketing assets.
