Nod '65 — The Calendar From 1965 That Asks First

The idea Nod is a fictional AI planner with one rule: it asks before it changes your day. This launch film imagines it as if it had been designed in 1965, as a cream desk machine with a split-flap board, a VFD message window, an analog "ask index" and one big APPROVE key.
The story The day writes itself on the flaps. Two plans clash at 2:00 and the whole world floods coral. Nod asks, "Move portfolio to 3:00 PM?", and nothing moves until a cursor presses APPROVE. Then mint floods from the key, the board cascades, the 2 rolls to a 3 and ALL CLEAR lands on the downbeat. The client call never moves.
The craft
Everything is built in code: the 3D device, the camera and 16 shots cut on a 120 BPM grid, real sub-frame motion blur and a photographic lens pass. The score is synthesised to the picture, so each of the 2,800+ flaps has its own click. The live opening was generated with Seedance 2.5 from my own reference photos; the voice is ElevenLabs.
