Took full ownership of the end-to-end performance marketing strategy for an Australian EdTech startup, successfully scaling their Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) from $1,000 to over $7,000+ in the first 30 days. By maintaining strict capital efficiency, this growth was achieved with under $1,000 in total ad spend, delivering an exceptional return on investment.
My Role & Responsibilities
As the sole growth strategist on this project, I managed the entire acquisition funnel from concept to execution:
Full-Funnel Setup & Tracking: Built the advertising infrastructure from scratch. Implemented robust pixel tracking, Custom Conversions, and Server-Side API tracking to ensure 100% data accuracy and clean optimization loops.
Direct-Response Copywriting: Wrote high-converting ad copy tailored to the Australian education/tech landscape, focusing heavily on core pain points, immediate value propositions, and student/parent psychology.
Creative Direction & Design: Developed and designed a suite of high-hook ad creatives (mixing static assets and dynamic concepts) engineered to command attention in a crowded feed.
Campaign Management & Optimization: Executed daily budget allocation, audience targeting, and rigorous A/B testing across creatives and hooks to aggressively lower the Cost Per Lead (CPL) and maximize sign-ups.
The Results
MRR Scale: $1,000 to $7,000+ in Month 1
Ad Spend: < $1,000
Lead Generation: Generated over 400+ high-intent leads at a highly optimized cost per lead (under $3 CPL).
Efficiency: Achieved a massive 7x+ return on ad spend (ROAS) equivalent relative to first-month recurring revenue growth.
