Les Vins Julien is a Napa Valley-based wine brand crafting intentionally lower-alcohol wines for health-conscious consumers. Their philosophy centers on mindful winemaking, sustainability, and balance. With a physical tasting room at Maison Fayard in Downtown Napa's SOFI district, they needed a digital presence that matched the elegance and intentionality of their brand.
The Challenge: Les Vins Julien needed more than a standard wine website. They required a premium e-commerce experience that could communicate their unique positioning in the low-alcohol wine market, educate visitors about mindful winemaking, drive online wine sales, and integrate a reservation system for their Napa tasting room. The site had to appeal to a sophisticated, health-conscious audience while maintaining the warmth and artistry of traditional winemaking.

My Design Process: I immersed myself in the premium wine and wellness brand space to understand what resonates with mindful consumers. The design needed to feel luxurious without being pretentious, and health-forward without feeling clinical. I chose a clean, editorial layout with rich photography, organic textures, and a muted earth-tone palette that reflects the brand's connection to nature and craft.

E-Commerce Store — Full product catalog with wine collection pages, individual product details, and cart functionality
Key Design Decisions:
Used full-bleed lifestyle photography throughout to create an immersive, magazine-quality browsing experience
Led with a press quote in the hero to immediately establish third-party credibility for the low-alcohol wine category
Designed custom iconography for the three brand pillars (Premium, Transparent, Moderation) to make the value proposition scannable
Integrated Tock reservation system directly on the homepage to reduce friction for tasting room bookings
Incorporated organic vine and leaf illustrations as decorative elements to reinforce the natural, earth-connected brand identity
Built on Squarespace for seamless e-commerce, inventory management, and client self-service
The Result: A refined, conversion-optimized e-commerce website that positions Les Vins Julien as a leader in the mindful wine movement. The site seamlessly blends brand storytelling with commerce, driving online wine sales and tasting room reservations while educating a growing audience about the benefits of lower-alcohol, sustainably crafted wines.
