People who hire an independent are hiring the person. But most of our sites make them read about us first, and the sales call is the first time they actually hear us.
So I had my homepage introduce me.
Scroll to the part that asks who you are, and a drawn version of me pops up, waves, and offers two things: a one-minute tour in my own voice, or my AI desk, which answers your questions out loud. On the tour, he points at each section as he talks: who I build for, how a project runs, every price, a live client build, and how to start.
I made a few calls so it never gets annoying. He only shows up once you reach that question, and never over the top of the page. If you scroll on your own, the tour stops pulling you along. Captions start on, since plenty of people watch muted. And the tour's voice is a clone of mine, which the player says plainly: AI voice of Eric.
My favorite fix was one line of script. The first draft opened with "Are you a consultant or an educator?" A founder hears no before the sentence is over. Now it opens on "Which one are you?" and gives each of them their own line.
Built with Claude Code, ElevenLabs v4 for my voice, GPT Image 2.5 for the drawing, and OpenAI's GPT-Live on LiveKit for the desk.
If your buyers need to hear you before they'll book, your site can do this too. Hit play on mine 👉 authorityread.com
