Lahore Qalandars: A Story of Passion, Heritage, and Cricket

Lahore is not just a city; it’s an emotion, a living history that breathes through its streets, food, festivals, and the undying love of its people for cricket. Here culture and sport intertwine. Lahore Qalandars, the city's cricketing pride, is a representation of the city's soul in the Pakistan Super League.

The Spirit of Qalandars: A Thought Process Behind the Kit Design

Every cricket team carries an identity, a story woven into its uniform. For LQ, the kit that we've designed is not just about colors or patterns; it's a narrative—a tribute to the city’s unmatched legacy.

The home jersey is designed with the franchise's logo colors i.e, red and black, adorned with a delicate calligraphic slogan, inspired by the Persian inscriptions found in Lahore’s historical sites.

The kit also embraces Sufism as it's the heart of Lahore’s identity, through a whirling motif of a dervish on the front—a dance of unity, surrender, and divine connection.

The away jersey features elements that pay homage to Lahore’s architectural wonders—the minaret of Badshahi Mosque, bustling Walled City and Anarkali Bazaar. These structures, with their intricate Mughal designs, stand as timeless reminders of the city’s artistic grandeur.

Lahore was known for Basant—the festival of kites that fills the sky with colors every spring. The jersey’s front features kites, a tribute to the city’s love for festivity and freedom. It's a reminder that every match is a flight, every ball a chance to soar higher.

The soaring pigeons from the rooftops of the Walled City to the vast courtyards of shrines are symbols of peace, devotion, and the soulful essence of Lahore.

Cricket is not just a sport in Lahore; it is a heartbeat. And Lahore Qalandars, dressed in their culturally infused armor, embody the rhythm of that heartbeat, uniting heritage with the fiery spirit of the game.
