NexTable — Hospitality SaaS with an AI Operations Agent

NexTable is my hospitality SaaS product, developed under NovaPulse Creative to bring restaurant operations into a shared workspace. I combined product direction, interface design and full-stack development across the manager experience, staff workflows and Eve, the platform's AI operations agent.

The work surrounding a restaurant shift crosses staffing, guest context, operational tasks and financial preparation. The challenge was to connect these activities while preserving the responsibilities, access rules and operating context of each venue. The interface needed to make complex work understandable and keep managers in control of consequential changes.

I placed the venue at the center of the experience, bringing related services into one workspace. Clear navigation and task-focused screens connect the staff directory, availability, schedule drafts, published schedules, shift swaps and timecards.

Eve provides a conversational entry point. Managers can describe a task in English or French, or attach an operational document such as an availability sheet. The agent coordinates the relevant tools while making the steps visible. The design distinguishes preparing work, reviewing a proposal and authorizing a change.

Staff planning is a central workflow. Eve can turn an availability sheet into a roster draft so that managers can review conflicts and missing coverage before publication. Requests to publish or modify a shift follow the venue's rules and the requesting manager's permissions. Staff-facing workflows give team members an appropriate view of their schedules and shift requests.

Payroll preparation follows the same principle: organize the information for review, with payment and tax filing handled by the payroll provider. The product connects operational preparation with the manager's review process.

Eve's actions follow the user's permissions, and executed changes are recorded in Activity. This gives the team a visible record of what changed and supports review and correction. I designed the agent layer around specialized tools connected to the application's account and venue model.

The foundation includes Next.js, React, TypeScript, Supabase and Tailwind CSS, with deployment on Vercel and an Anthropic API integration for the AI layer. I worked across the application and the public website, using concrete restaurant scenarios to explain the product.

The result is a connected hospitality product spanning manager and staff experiences, supported by a public website and an interactive roster preview using sample data. This founder-led project combines product strategy, interface design, full-stack engineering and permission-aware AI workflows.
