TEDxLAU: The Agora

Visual Identity, Experience Design & Website
Embracing TED's "Ideas Worth Spreading,"  TEDxLAU decided to take on the birthplace of ideas, The Agora. The Agora was the center of the city's athletic, artistic, spiritual, and political life. Citizens met in the agora to make history, among great minds like Aristotle, Plato, and Socrates.
‘The Birthplace of Ideas’ became our brand idea, informing everything from illustration to color, to the way we speak. The concept allowed us to inspire participants and audiences alike to engage in meaningful dialogue, just as in the days of Athens.
Event in Action
The Agora came alive through interactive speaker sessions, engaging workshops, and the innovative Ideas Market, where attendees exchanged thoughts like ancient philosophers. To spread the word, we created a poster series displayed around the city and in the university, featuring the main poster with an image of an ancient greek statue, drawing a direct connection to the event's historical inspiration.
Online Experience
We took it online to announce our speakers and create a beautifully crafted website that served as the digital Agora, leading people to explore the speakers and the rich library of past TEDxLAU talks, articles, and a virtual forum for ongoing dialogue. We created a visual language that combines clear photography, illustration, and minimal iconography.
