A brand identity using Adobe Illustrator | Zahra Perfumes

Zahra Perfumes epitomises the essence of beauty and radiance, drawing inspiration from the Arabic meaning. Zahra Perfumes is a passion project I created to refine my branding and web design skills. The objective was to create a beautiful brand identity that embodies beauty and timeless elegance.

Zahra Perfumes started from a simple idea to create a Shopify store which required a strong and cohesive brand identity. For this branding, I used Adobe Illustrator because of Illustrator's powerful capabilities that allowed me to create a beautiful and elegant brand that I love. Having used Illustrator for years and being proficient with it, I am continually amazed by the new shortcuts and tools I discover. The font library is probably my favourite part of Illustrator when creating a brand identity and the pencil tool which allows me to change the typography to build a unique brand.

I began by designing the primary wordmark logo using an elegant serif font. The clean lines and classic look of the serif typeface perfectly captured the essence of Zahra Perfumes. I then moved on to create the secondary logo, a floral repeat pattern that emulated the shape of a perfume bottle, using Illustrator’s precise vector tools.

The colour palette reflects the brand's ethos - vibrant yet refined and playful yet elegant. The entire product range was generated using AI and designed into mockups using Illustrator for the packaging and Photopea for the mockup creation.
