The statute of limitations in the UK recognises this and the three years begin at this point of recognition.

Children who received a misdiagnosis have the time limit extended to begin at their 18th birthday. From that point in the UK the three-year statute of limitation begins. Limitation is a complex area and you should not delay seeking professional advice.
