Gringo Taco is one of the sub-brands I created for a Berlin-based ghost kitchen offering a variety of international street food concepts under one roof. Each brand needed its own distinct identity, tailored to the cuisine’s cultural and visual vibe.
For Gringo Taco, I designed a bold, character-driven logo featuring a moustached figure in a sombrero – instantly evoking that playful Mexican street food feel. I paired it with a custom brand pattern using hand-drawn illustrations like taco, cacti, chilies, sombreros, avocados, and limes to build a fun and recognizable visual system.
The pink and green color palette brings energy and warmth, while the typography was chosen to reflect a bold, Mexican-inspired style that matches the personality of the brand.
This project included logo design, color and type direction, and custom illustration work – all crafted to create a cohesive and engaging brand world for this fast-casual food concept.
Custom illustrations built around key food elements – chili, cactus, avocado, and more.
A bold pink and fresh green combination that brings energy, warmth, and a distinctly Mexican flair to the brand.
A stylized, Mexican-inspired typeface that balances playfulness with clarity – chosen to match the brand’s tone and personality.
