This was a personal project after taking a trip to Daytona FL and seeing the need of a surf school. The name comes from the dorsal fins on a surfboard and the logo uses those fins above the surface of water as you would see a shark, dolphin, or orca do. The type has a relaxed, vacation feel and the term “Hodad” refers to a beginner or new surfer. I wanted to create a fun brand with many design possibilities.
