UGC Supplement Ranking Reel

This project involved creating a test Instagram reel for a supplement brand as part of a pre-collaboration recruitment process. The client provided raw footage and requested three slightly different versions of the same reel, each featuring alternative hooks, transitions, sound effects, and ranking presentation styles.

The video follows a UGC-style format in which a woman presents a ranking of dietary supplements. The ranking appears on the left side of the screen while the presenter speaks on the right. Each version starts with a different hook animation, followed by the ranking sequence and a CTA end screen.

The goal was to test different editing approaches while maintaining consistent branding, pacing, captions, music, and overall visual style across all three versions.

Edited 3 different reel variations from the same footage

Applied different hook styles and transitions

Added supplement images and ranking layouts

Created motion graphics and animated text

Used different sound effect styles (woosh, pop-up, etc.)

Added captions and CTA end screens

Applied color correction and pacing optimization

Maintained consistent branding across all versions

Edited in DaVinci Resolve, featuring:

– Color correction – Sound effects and background music – Text on screen and captions – Motion graphics – Cutting and trimming – Transitions and visual effects – Ranking layouts and animated hooks

This project demonstrates my ability to create multiple high-retention reel variations for UGC and product-focused content while adapting editing style to client testing needs.

It highlights skills in short-form editing, hook experimentation, motion graphics, and creating social media content optimized for Instagram engagement.
