About PineApp
In a year since its launch, Baptist Health South Florida's PineApp has become an essential tool for 40,000 daily users, receiving 1,000 daily sign-ins. This rapid adoption underscores the organization's commitment to enhancing patient experience through technology.
While the app has gained momentum, the team remains relentless, refining features and ensuring its evolution remains patient-focused.
The need
With online appointment booking, Baptist Health offers patients easy access to doctor availability and location preferences, streamlining the booking experience.
This shift alleviates manual appointment duties for front desk staff and underscores Baptist's dedication to competitive, patient-centered care.
We categorized the user journey into two distinct phases: 'pre-request' and 'post-request'. Given Baptist Health's comprehensive design system, which boasts predefined components used consistently across the app, we moved directly from sketches into mockup development.
Pre-request flow
Some aspects to consider were how to process external appointment request maintaining HIPPA compliance.
The use of a language that could be equally recognizable for doctors and patients.
Full transparency about appointments where the patient couldn’t self schedule and does were they could.
Post-request flow
