Illustrations for a special project by the Fogo Cruzado Institute with data and reports from 283 police massacres mapped in Greater Rio (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) over 7 years. The illustrations are based on victims' stories and newspaper articles.

At chacinaspoliciais.com.br, you can consult data from each massacre, filtering by location, neighborhood, municipality, region, number of deaths, police units involved, among other data. There is also a section with reports from the 18 registered Revenge Operations. The illustrations were used to compose the online platform and other developments such as urban interventions that brought the data to the physical world.
