AnimeKon Expo is Barbados' first pop-culture convention. Having been around for over 10 years, it is a 4-day celebration of all the things you know, and love, about pop culture and entertainment. This includes anime, comics, gaming, film, television and cosplay; all with a heavy dose of Caribbean charm!

I was approach by the director of the convention about revamping their website. Their website at the time did not provide any information for the upcoming convention and did not adequately represent their yearly theme. The website could not be efficiently utilized and some of the information from previous years was missing. They wanted the site to be a hub for all information related to the convention, for attendees, sponsors and exhibitors alike. In addition, the website should be aligned with their 2023 theme, The Invasion.

Utilize Google forms for event registrations

Use an easy to understand CMS (content management system) for the client so they can make quick updates. Build upon this CMS to create a fun theme that is aligned with their brand and theme colors for this year's convention. The website was also made with responsiveness in mind so that it can be displayed to sponsors on the go. As well as to appeal to the young demographic that frequents the convention.

I designed an intuitive and fun website that utilizes AnimeKon's 2023 galactic theme. The interface is user-friendly and the information is easy to follow. The response from the user groups for the usability testing was positive.

Currently the website is still in development, to be launched in February 2023.
