Emission factors are widely used to estimate emissions produced by sources of air pollution. A dataset with hourly measurements from 2016 to 2018 from Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems was used for computing the emission factors of SO2 and particulate matter from different fuels of power plants in Chile. In addition, a model was designed to estimate the emission factor, using the power generated and the percentage of oxygen as predictors.
