Overview

Jeeve is an innovative FinTech platform that offers personalized financial management solutions to users. It provides a comprehensive suite of tools for financial planning, tracking expenses, setting goals, managing investments, and gaining insights into one’s financial health. I led the development of the platform from scratch, focusing on scalability, security, and user experience.

Key Features

Financial Dashboard: The dashboard provides users with a holistic view of their finances. It displays an aggregated summary of account balances, recent transactions, and financial goals progress using interactive charts.

Integration with Financial Institutions: Jeeve connects securely to users' bank accounts using APIs for financial data aggregation. The platform enables seamless connection and secure data handling to keep all financial information synchronized.

Expense and Investment Tracking: Users can categorize their expenses, set budgets, and track their spending habits. The investment module allows users to monitor the growth of their portfolios with detailed visual analytics.

Financial Goal Setting: Users can set short-term and long-term financial goals such as saving for vacations, creating emergency funds, or planning investments, with automated tracking towards achieving these goals.

Data Visualization: The platform uses Chart.js to provide a visually appealing representation of financial data, including spending patterns, savings growth, and budget adherence.

Security and Authentication: Implemented multi-factor authentication (MFA) and encryption to ensure the security of sensitive financial information. AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies were set up to manage roles and permissions.

Scalability and Performance: AWS was utilized to ensure scalable infrastructure with services like AWS EC2, S3, and RDS. Load balancing and database sharding strategies were adopted to handle growing user demand.

My Contribution

As the Lead Full-Stack Developer, I was responsible for the following aspects:

Backend Development with Node.js and Express: Developed RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js to handle financial data operations, user management, and secure connections to third-party services.

Frontend Development with Angular: Created a dynamic user interface with Angular, focusing on user experience and responsive design to cater to different devices and user groups.

Data Visualization with D3.js and Chart.js: Created visually engaging charts and graphs to represent financial data. Designed custom visualizations for goal progress, spending trends, and investment growth.

Testing and Quality Assurance: Implemented automated unit and integration tests using Jasmine and Protractor for Angular and Mocha for backend API testing. Conducted rigorous security audits to comply with financial regulations.
