Fractional CMO: Building a Scalable Marketing Engine for a Growing Food Brand
The Challenge
Suja's Kitchen is a Dubai-based food brand with real product quality and a clear identity, but without the senior marketing leadership needed to turn that into a scalable growth engine. Hiring a full-time CMO wasn't the right move at this stage. What they needed was strategic horsepower, embedded in the business, without the overhead of a C-suite hire.
The challenge was building a marketing function that could punch above its weight: establishing brand positioning, running effective digital campaigns, and putting the right systems and team in place to support sustainable growth, all while working closely with the founders who have strong opinions and deep brand instincts.
What I Did
I came on as Fractional CMO, embedded directly with the leadership team to own the marketing strategy end-to-end.
The starting point was brand positioning, defining what Suja's Kitchen stands for in a market full of F&B options, and articulating that in a way that could drive every marketing decision downstream. From there, I built and ran digital campaigns designed to drive customer acquisition and revenue, iterating based on what the data showed.
Beyond campaigns, I focused on building the infrastructure that a scaling brand needs: the systems, processes, and team structure that would allow Suja's Kitchen to grow without everything depending on one person. This meant working on team leadership and talent, helping the business build internal marketing capability alongside the external strategy.
The work was designed to compound. Not just short-term wins, but a marketing engine the founders could keep running and building on.
The Result
Suja's Kitchen now has a defined brand positioning, an active marketing function, and a team and system capable of executing a coherent strategy. The business is operating with senior marketing leadership at a fraction of the cost of a full-time hire, with the strategic depth of someone who has done this across multiple markets and verticals.
