A responsive cinematic portfolio website designed and built for filmmaker Leo Rocha to present his audiovisual work in a clearer, more professional, and visually distinctive way.
The Challenge
Leo needed a stronger digital presence to organize and present his body of work online. His projects involve different roles, productions, videos, and external references, so the website needed to make this information easy to explore without losing the visual character of his work.
Design Direction
I developed a cinematic, project-first visual direction focused on large imagery, strong typography, dark visual treatment, and clear hierarchy. The goal was to make the portfolio feel closer to an audiovisual experience than a conventional business website.
What I Built
• Responsive portfolio website
• Project pages for audiovisual work
• Video and external-link integration
• Project roles and production information
• Mobile-friendly layouts
• Cinematic project-first visual system
• Clear navigation for browsing professional work
UX Approach
The information architecture was designed around the projects themselves, allowing visitors to quickly understand the type of work, Leo’s role, and the related production material.
I kept secondary information accessible without competing with the visual content, creating a cleaner browsing experience across desktop and mobile.
My Role
Web design, UI direction, responsive layout, front-end implementation, and project presentation.
Outcome
The result is a dedicated portfolio that gives Leo a more structured and professional way to present his audiovisual work, while preserving a visual identity appropriate for filmmaking and creative production.
