When Orpheus ventured the underworld in order to fulfill his desire, I myself have entrusted life to fate. What is the significance of this? Well, life was a composition of both ups and downs; probably the most interesting part of handling this kind of constitutional possession is to continue striving. I had hypothesized that mankind still manages to survive because of somewhat philosophical ideas that enveloping their consciousness and mitigating the breakout of flaws.

There was this movie entitled “Waking Life”, wherein it emphasizes interweaving of discussions about a certain idea. A philosophical film that greatly shows philosophical ideas, in order to give sympathy and concern to the issues being pinpointed by the proponents of the conversation. While the movie is on the run, I have noticed that the unnamed seems to be protagonist is dealing with the concepts of reality, humanity, and other self-inclined issue; and his way of responding to those stigmas were so dependently based on the individuals who shared philosophical ideas with him. In the early part of the film, I had observed that the issues being discussed by the leading individual with the personas wielding the words of wisdom and views, were centered in human existence. I’ll take the driver as an example, this man as he shared was a neutral type of person wherein he takes what is being served. As he stated “my car served as the window of the world”, the statement provided by the driver was based on his existence in reality; confusions about the driver’s role and identity were also evident in the scenario. Based on what I have learned about humanity readings in this subject (art application), mankind existed in nothing with nothing except rationality and consciousness, we formed existence bearing the responsibilities created by free wills; therefore, here we are walking and participating in the extravaganza of life. Human existence literally refers to the role of our tangible bodies in the so called reality, we made decisions because we are humans; but bear in mind that for every actions there were always equal reactions. The prison inmate that been exhibited in the film, can be a virtually living evidence, that he ended up in bars because there were inappropriate actions that his humane body have performed.

In the latter part of the movie, the leading individual as I’ve observed seems to be discombobulated by himself, his own existence, and purpose. At some point in the film, I have noticed that psychoanalytical theory included itself to the discussions existed in the film. I can deliberately say that the consideration of being dead – thought by the leading individual when he faces failures symbolizes the escape that Lacan stated in his theory, an escape in order to draw own reality. Also at this part of the film, individuals that being encountered by the protagonist shared ideas about how to be human exactly. Mankind faces struggles emotionally and physically, the thoughts that being executed in my mind was the responses and definition being assigned by different individuals with different perspectives and statuses in the society they moved in. 

Philosophical ideas are infinite, no assurances but there was faith among them. Homo sapiens utilizes rationality and the state of being conscious in order to propagate perspectives in different scenarios of life. There are free wills, but being governed by restrictions; why? Because each individuals have rights and we need to balance the associating world. Reality is something that we create and not something being drawn by fate. To end this, I can conclude that alterations in different factors in this world would be possible, but modification on something divine is somehow unreachable, consequences from it would be a waking life.
