Little Hue Co.

The Challenge

Little Hue Co. had a simple idea behind it: calmer, more thoughtful play built around beautifully designed wooden toys. But with everything from puzzles and stacking toys to vehicles, letters, numbers and learning objects, the range could easily feel like a collection of unrelated products. The challenge was to give everything one recognizable world while showing parents what made the brand different.

The Strategy

I built the direction around one central thought: play without the noise. Soft colours, warm environments and simple compositions created a calmer visual language, while the messaging focused on curiosity, hands-on learning, imagination and time away from screens. Then came Hue, a character designed to become the thread connecting the products, stories and future content.

The Production

This is where AI became the production accelerator. I treated each visual like a shoot that needed to be art directed first: camera position, composition, lighting, environment, product placement and character design. AI allowed me to build the toy world, develop Hue as a consistent 3D character and explore product and lifestyle scenes much faster. The goal wasn't to ask "What can AI generate?" but "What would I want to photograph for this brand?" Then I used AI to get there faster.

The Refinement

The first generations were only the starting point. I refined the lighting, product scale, character proportions, compositions and backgrounds to make sure a quiet product arrangement, a child interacting with a toy and a larger campaign scene could still feel like the same brand. The same visual language was then carried into the typography, graphic shapes, Hue pattern and social layouts, creating consistency across very different types of content.

The Result

The work turned Little Hue from a collection of wooden toys into a visual world with its own character, colour language and point of view. Hue gave the brand a recognizable personality, while the product imagery and campaign visuals gave each toy a reason to exist within that world. The system could speak to parents, show the products, communicate learning and celebrate childhood without losing its calm character.
The Instagram carousel extends the brand story through gentle messaging, playful interactions, and emotionally engaging visuals, creating a stronger connection with both children and parents.

The Takeaway

The biggest lesson was that a children's brand doesn't need to become visually loud to feel playful.
The quieter approach gave the products more room to speak. AI helped me build and explore the world faster, but the important decisions happened before generation: what the brand should feel like, how Hue should behave, how the products should live inside the world and how every image should connect back to the same idea. The technology accelerated the production. The creative direction gave it a reason to exist.
