Giggle Juice Packaging

This project was a challenge to create a brand, make the packaging for it, and then put it on 3D objects for an official mock-up.

For the first part of the project, the challenge was picking an imaginary product to sell. I chose a drink and to create a brand behind that; Giggle Juice. I was inspired by brand designs that had a modern but playful element to them. I also favored drink brands that utilized the color of the drink as a background color for the product.

From here came the sketching stage. I needed to determine what fonts I desired, the color scheme, and if my brand was going to have a mascot. I feel a mascot helps make a brand more recognizable. I also wanted to make a mascot that could change with every flavor of my drink brand. I'm also a big fan of cheesy slogans which you can see below.

Now it was time to create the drink layout. I knew I wanted sans-serif for the body and script for the logo. I knew I also wanted to use a chalk-like font for the "100% natural" text as it would make it appear healthier to the consumer. I also showcased one of the other flavor designs here.

I ended up using a free mock-up PSD courtesy of Photoshop's library. But before that I tried my hand at making 3D bottles with liquid and an additional splash effect in Adobe Dimensions. Although I ended up scrapping it I wanted the opportunity to show off my first attempt with the Dimensions program:
