This young couple booked me on one day before their day! Luckily I don't have any schedule in my free time, so I decided to take the job while also saving them from headaches looking here and there. This is for traditional engagement which most Chinese in Indonesia usually do before continuing to pre-wedding and the wedding. Since the event itself is not that big, it's usually attended by close friends and families only. The main event is held at The Westin, Surabaya, Indonesia. This 5-star hotel is relatively new compared to other big hotels, it's really big and comfy but the downside is looking for the lobby entrance is not that friendly unfortunately.

The beginning part of the engagement is about meeting for the first time from both sides and this is happening at the parents of the prospective groom's house. There the prospective groom's father conveyed the purpose of their arrival. Then the prospective bride's father answered it and picked up the daughter who concealed beforehand. After they meet, a small feast begins to mark the start of the event. After that, we moved to The Westin which is not far, and went straight into the designated room for the main event. This part is similar to the beginning one, but witnessed by all close friends and families this time.
