Building a White-Label Platform That Scaled to Hyundai, Toyota & BMW

A white-label mobility platform that scaled from a single MVP to powering 20+ enterprise clients — including Hyundai, Toyota, and BMW — and 100,000+ daily users across Europe.
I led development across a two-year partnership, architecting the platform from MVP to enterprise-grade. Here's how a one-off back-end contract became a core technology partnership.

20+ Enterprise clients (incl. Hyundai, Toyota, BMW)
€2M+ Funding raised
100K+ Daily users
6 → 40 Client's team growth

Industry: Mobility / MaaS Stack: Python, Django, Flask, React, PostgreSQL, AWS Architecture: Microservices Services: Web Design, Web Development

The founder of World Wide Mobility considers Boomdevs more than just a development partner — we're an extension of their team. From day one, we've taken ownership of their product vision, investing countless hours to ensure stability, quality, and growth.

— Emilio Mellado, CEO & Founder, World Wide Mobility

It started small

When I first met the World Wide Mobility founder, they had a small IoT-focused team and one request: help build the back-end for their first white-label mobility app for a single client.
That was the whole brief. A back-end contract for one MVP.
What it became is the reason this case study exists.

From MVP to enterprise partner

The first build worked. The client validated the model, raised €2M+ in funding, and came back with a bigger ask: build a fully scalable, white-label version of the entire platform — one that any mobility business, enterprise, or municipality could deploy as their own.
So I kept building. Over two years, I worked hand-in-hand with the founder, treating the product as if it were my own. What started as a single back-end contract turned into a core technology partnership — supporting client onboarding, platform scaling, and even joining the founder on new ventures.

What I built

This wasn't a website. It was a full platform with four major systems:
Admin dashboard — multi-location and client management, real-time vehicle tracking, fleet management, subscriptions, and advanced analytics.
Booking & pricing engine — complex rental and subscription flows, dynamic rent estimation, and fully customizable pricing per client and per location.
White-label customer app — deployable as any client's own branded app, with real-time vehicle availability and navigation.
IoT integration layer — synced with thousands of connected vehicles in real time, built on microservice architecture to scale.

The hard part

The real engineering challenge wasn't any single feature — it was making them all hold up at scale, simultaneously. Processing real-time data from thousands of connected vehicles. Running a booking system that stays responsive at 100,000+ daily users. Supporting different pricing and subscription models for different markets, all from one codebase. And keeping it fast while moving enormous volumes of live vehicle data.
The answer was architectural: a microservice-based system with centralized deployment tooling, co-designed with the founder from day one for exactly this kind of scale. We built in SCRUM sprints, which mattered more than usual here — the client pivoted their business model mid-build, and the iterative approach let us adapt without starting over.

The outcome

€2M+ raised to scale the platform — with no follow-up round required
20+ enterprise clients onboarded, including Hyundai, Toyota, and BMW
100,000+ daily users supported in production
Client's internal team grew from 6 to 40+ employees
Recognized as one of Europe's top white-label mobility providers

Two years, one platform, and a partnership that outgrew its own contract. That's what building like an owner looks like.
