Esferas Magazine



Esferas is the dual-language art and literary journal of New York University's Department of Spanish and Portuguese. Since 2018, I have designed the layout and type for the primary professional artist featured in each issue. Along with the artist portfolios, I design of the cover and all interior introductory and diving pages.

The production team is primarily made up of students, most new to Adobe InDesign. Another role of mine has been to standardize the layout to be approachable to somebody new to the programs being used. I have taught InDesign workshops to these fourth-year university students and have spent time troubleshooting issues they've had in their learning processes. Finally, I clean up any remaining discontinuities and stitch together the finalized works from each student and the magazine is ready for proof printing and production.
