Satellite | Animated Short Movie

Satellite is a deeply introspective animated short film that explores themes of isolation and self-reflection. Created as part of my Bachelor thesis: Motionflow — Telling Different Stories in Different Styles, this project allowed me to blend my love for storytelling and animation with poetic visuals inspired by the works of Dostoevsky.

This short film captures the journey of a man who disconnects from the world, finding solace in solitude as he gazes at the endless expanse of the sea. His connection to the satellite, a symbol of his detachment and silent prayers, reflects his inner turmoil and longing for something beyond the reach of earthly chaos.

Satellite is inspired by poetic storytelling and shower ballads, embracing a minimalist yet intense style that enhances the emotional depth of the story. This short was created to evoke quiet introspection and allow viewers to find their own meaning in its narrative.
