Umay is a Web3 protocol that allows users to create profiles, host video calls, and earn money through these interactions. With a focus on enabling individuals to monetize their skills globally, Umay positions itself as a secure, censorship-resistant, and instantly-paid video chat platform.

The project involved designing the MVP of Umay's core platform, enabling users to explore creators, set up their profiles, discover other users, and initiate video calls. Due to the team’s tight timeline driven by upcoming investor meetings and other critical milestones, the entire design process was compressed into a two-week period.

Given this limited timeframe, the focus was on rapidly delivering a functional MVP without establishing a comprehensive design system. However, to ensure the designs would serve as a foundation for future development, I prioritized sustainability and consistency throughout the process.

I created a style guide in Figma, including a library of colors, components, typography, and iconography. I also developed structured page layouts and reusable layout components, ensuring their future design team could support future iterations and scale as the product evolved. The goal was to provide the groundwork for Umay’s future design team while simplifying the development handoff for the product team.
