WHO STOLE THE MEAT FROM THE COOKING POT.

Camera opens on a Maruwa designed with stickers of wizkid,the thin looking driver shakes his head to the music coming from the Bluetooth speaker,Ojuelegba by wizkid plays as the driver navigates the maruwa around a ghetto environment.We see street hawkers calling out to costumers to buy their goods,some thugs harassing a motorist,some rough looking men smoking weed and playing ludo,children in uniforms eating akara and bread as they rush down to school,a pregnant teenager cursing an elderly man,a young man break dancing by the side of the street,6 children wearing dirty looking pants playing with sand in front of a face me and face you house.
1. Int.Iya ibeji's's living room.Day
Camera opens on taiye and kehinde having their breakfast of Pap and akara.Taiye is light skinned ,short and a thin looking teenager while kehinde is a dark skinned ,tall and fat looking boy.
Taiye
Kehinde eat fast jare,i must not be late again today o,you will be eating like a snail,your name should have been igbinde not kehinde.
(Taiye takes a spoonful of pap from kehinde's bowl, kehinde quickly hit his fingers with his iron spoon).
Taiye
Ye!(taiye howls with pain and exaggeration) Kehinde i will tell mummy for you.mummy! mummy mi o!!! kehinde is beating me o(dramatically tears start falling from taiye's eyes while kehinde eats his breakfast unconcerned.
2. Int .Iya ibeji's' bedroom.Day
Iya ibeji is a worn looking woman of 30 years,she looks way older than her age,a 30 going on 45 look,she clumsily moves about the small room looking for something,as she bends over to look under the bed she heard the rukus taiye was making in the living room.She sits down on the cemented floor and shakes her head.
Iya ibeji
Taiye if you don't stop shouting there I will come and slap your face,you people should better hurry up and finish eating or I will come and carry that food and give my chickens.(iya ibeji screams at the children from the room).
3. Int.iya ibeji's living room.Day.
Kehinde Snickers as taiye calms down.
Kehinde
Oobii!! (he pulls down his face with his two forefingers) cry cry baby,you should have been named elekun egbere not taiye,i think our mother made a mistake with your name.
Taiye
I think it's you they made a mistake with,i guess they mistakenly gave you to our mother from the hospital,I don't think we are twins.
Kehinde
I should be telling you that o because i don't know who you look like,i look exactly like my mother who do you look like?(kehinde taunts while taiye looks mad)
Taiye
Kehinde i swear you don't have sense,i look like our father of course,i am not a bastard.
Kehinde
Eyah , sorry o Omo daddy,have you seen your father before?abi his picture sef,be decieving yourself there.(taiye angrily slaps kehinde,kehinde howls),,ye! Mo ku o!!!!
4. Int.Iya ibeji's living room.Day.
Iya ibeji rushes to the living room breathing heavily,she knocks both children on their heads.
Iya ibeji
I don't think you people are my children,i should have left you both in the hospital when i had the chance( the children look at themselves) everyone told me i was too young to have you but i said i would not abandon my children,and what is my gain now? I should be living my life,but i wasted it all on you since i was 16 while your useless father ran away.(the two boys look remorseful).
Taiye & Kehinde
Sorry mama Ibeji.(they both chorus)
Iya ibeji
Sorry for yourself o.
Kehinde
Mummy don't worry,I will make millions when i finish school and make sure you enjoy life.
Taiye
Mummy,it is me that will take care of you,give me a few years and i will take you around the world.
Kehinde
Mummy i will take you to America!
Taiye
Mummy i will take you to London!
Kehinde
Mummy i will....(iya Ibeji cuts in).
Iya Ibeji
My Wonderful children (she holds them close to her bosoms) i trust you both,with you both i am happy,I know i didn't make a mistake when i decided to keep my pregnancy,oya let me give you both the meat i kept for my friend,you have made me very happy this morning.(the two boys look at each other)
5. Int.Iya ibeji's kitchen.Day
She takes a plate from the plastic plate rack and opened a pot on the shelf,she used the spoon in the pot to scoop up stew into the plate,she looks perplexed,she digs the spoon in the pot and looks for the pieces of meat in it.She sees nothing,she screams and rushes out of the room.
6. Iya ibeji's living room.Day.
Kehinde and taiye jittering on their feet.iya ibeji enters the room angrily.
Iya Ibeji
Who stole my meat in the pot?
Taiye & Kehinde
Him!( They both point to each other simultaneously)
Iya Ibeji
I reverse my statement,I made a mistake not leaving you both at the hospital,you boys will be the death of me(as she makes to beat them with the iron spoon the two boys rush out of the room leaving their school bags, behind,taiye manages to carry along his plate of akara.
Iya Ibeji
Ha,what kind of twins are these tori Olorun,ha what kind of life is this? (she shakes her head ,she sits down wearily on the chair ,her face brightens up when she saw the left over of kehinde’s food)
Ìyá Ibeji
Make I use this one hold body (she drags the plate of Akara to herself,she munches one ) I kuku cannot kill myself.(she polished the food steadily.
