The Brief
An independent author needed UGC content to promote a cozy mystery novel featuring word search puzzles at the end of each chapter — a book designed for casual readers over 50 who love a light story with a little something extra. The goal was to demonstrate the book and capture the fun, relaxed experience of reading it.
What I Did
I handled full production — script, performance, and editing. I intentionally styled myself to reflect the target reader: feminine, warm, and over 50 — so the audience would see themselves in the person holding the book. This is one of several collaborations I've done with this author, built on a foundation of trust and consistent results.
The Result
A warm, authentic piece that speaks directly to the casual reader this author writes for. The repeat client relationship speaks for itself. These are currently running as ads on Facebook. I created additional videos for other books as well due to the strong performance of the first. This is an ongoing collaboration.
Why This Project Matters
This campaign shows I can inhabit a character and a lifestyle that resonates with a very specific audience. For brands in Books & Publishing — or any brand targeting the 50+ woman — I don't just reach this demographic. I am this demographic. That's not something you can fake, and it's not something every creator can offer.
