Overview 🔎

In November 2021, I got in charge for the TikTok account of the company I was working at. Operating with a content-plan, clearly setting up the categories of content and number of posts I should provide within a month, I was adapting TikTok trends with the field the bussines is about. I started running the JustConsult TikTok account from 9900 followers and 72,9K appreciations on profile. Categories of posts I was creating: 1. TikTok trends adapted 2. Funny sketches 3. Informative posts Here are some screenshots provided with stats of the channel growing. Timeline: November 2021 - September 2022
Today, the account reached 20.000 followers and 139.7K likes on profile.

Problem & Solution 🤝

The problem was in previous content that wasn't suitable for TikTok users. Because of this, the views were low, and the engagement also. Before I was in charge of this account, it was getting on For You Page on another country's feed than our Target Audience was. Since I am in charge for the TikTok, the followers and views come from the needed country - from the Republic of Moldova, in a proportion of 50% instead of 20%. Also, knowing the emerging trends and intensively following the platform, I could adapt the content and information from a TikTok user's perspective.

Process 🛣

I was testing what suits the best our audience and noticed that funny and easy to understand videos were generating big engagement and views. Then, I decided to push this and started to reciclate our previous content from YouTube. Once, we collaborated with some comedians that made funny videos about the company's specific field of activity, while reflecting some challenges met by the target audience in a funny way. I cut some videos, transformed them from 9 minutes into 2-3 minutes and reused them, so they brought views and engagement. For example, a few days ago, I have posted this video and it brought 300 followers and 88K views. Also, this funny sketch, made by me, was presenting breaking news that happened. The TikTok was talking about the news in a funny and informative way, depicting a fake situation with a lady while she wanted to renew her passport. This video brought almost 400 followers and a big engagement rate. Here is the video and the stats.
The informative videos presented in a dynamic manner that contain Call To Action of following the page and liking the video also brought an amazing impact. The best video in this category was the one explaining on how one can get their Romanian Passport done from zero. This video hit 201K views and had 2 periods of getting viral. The first period brought 2.000 followers in only 3 days, then, the video was staying the same in stats. 2 months later, it got viral again, and brought 1.500 followers.

Results 🎁

The result of 10.000 followers was generated by posting no more than 12 TikToks per month. It was generated by high views and viral content. Also, CTA really helped a lot, because when people are asked to leave a reaction, like or follow, they really do that.

Takeaways 📣 If I would change something about this project, I would increase the number of TikToks posted for 2x times (at least). Because it wasn't my main project, and I had to giggle 3 more projects at the same time for the company, together with the team of marketing, we have decided that this platform isn't a priority for our activity.
