I worked with an independent author who needed a complete transformation of a raw manuscript into a professionally formatted book ready for Amazon KDP publishing.
The client’s goal was to create a clean, readable, and publication-ready book that would meet Kindle eBook and paperback formatting standards while improving overall reader experience and visual presentation.
The manuscript initially had inconsistent formatting, poor spacing, and no proper structure for chapters or headings. This created readability issues and would not meet Amazon KDP requirements.
To solve this, I completely restructured the document using Microsoft Word and Canva, applying professional book formatting techniques including proper headings, consistent typography, spacing adjustments, margin alignment, and page numbering.
I also created a clickable table of contents, corrected layout inconsistencies, and ensured the file complied fully with Amazon KDP publishing guidelines. For visual enhancement, I improved interior design flow to make the reading experience more engaging and professional.
Throughout the project, I maintained close attention to detail, ensuring that every page was consistent, error-free, and optimized for both digital and print formats. I also prepared the final files for direct upload to Amazon KDP without additional editing required.
