The old saying is that the light is at the end of the tunnel. It should be an ancient adage that has a mixed-feeling effect on people both in the past and in the present. I sat down and tried to analyze this adage very well, and there is something about it that my mind is not persuaded about.
This write-up isn’t an article to discredit this adage, but it is to open our eyes, minds, and hearts to another direction so that we can draw a different belief or inspiration from this popular adage.
What does this adage truly mean?
No doubt, this adage is meant to inspire and motivate you on your quests in life to stay strong and courageous despite the difficulties that you might encounter on your life’s journey.
We all know that every good thing in life is never given easily, nor does it come easily either. To reach the peak of true success, one must first encounter a trail of genuine obstacles and challenges. But have you ever had a deep thought to ask yourself why this light was placed at the end of the tunnel, the source of the light, and who placed it at the end?
Isn't it funny that somebody took the light and placed it deep down so it wouldn't be seen? The part of this adage that we are yet to realize is that in every tunnel you find yourself, the light in the tunnel at the moment depends on where you psychologically consider it to be. Not until you realize that you’re the light and the light is you, you will always be found worrying about how dark the tunnel is, but when you see beyond the usual context, you have the positive energy of being successful from the beginning of your tunnel to the end of i
God called you the light of the world, and we all know that when the light comes, darkness can't comprehend it. If, truly, you're the light of the world, why do you still see a dark tunnel and only expect light at the end?
It is an offense to yourself not to allow yourself to think outside the box and see things differently than normal. Trouble comes at any time, but what makes you a winner is your attitude and your approach to the situation. A man who was defeated first fought in his mind, and a man who wins has already won out of his mind.
Seeing things differently, especially in positive thinking, you place 10 steps ahead of your initially esteemed steps, and maintaining such a mindset would make your tunnel bright from start to finish.
If you had the mentality of expecting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, what certainty are you working with that at the end of it comes the light? It is a thing of the mind, so adjust your thinking. Let’s see things from this side now and see the difference it imbibes in you.
In conclusion
You are your light; your tunnel is a representation of how you conceive it to be in your mind. Be in charge of your mind and recreate your thoughts toward having a winner’s mentality. From today, at every point you find yourself in your tunnel, see light and ensure you illuminate so brightly that your light can be a shining reflection to the beginning of other people who have a dark tunnel at its start.
You are the light of the world, and if you are the light, then the tunnels cannot be obscured at your entry.
