As a Logistics Coordinator and Freight Operations Specialist, I played a critical role in managing freight movements across all states in the USA, covering all four time zones. I was responsible for overseeing the entire process from booking to unloading, ensuring seamless operations and effective communication between all parties involved.
Key Responsibilities:
Freight Tracking and Tracing: Managed the end-to-end tracking and tracing of freight movements from origin to destination, ensuring timely updates and efficient handling of loads.
Driver Coordination: Provided clear and concise instructions to drivers, ensuring they had all necessary details regarding their loads and routes to facilitate smooth transportation.
Documentation Management: Sent required documents to carriers as needed, maintaining compliance and supporting the smooth execution of freight movements.
Transportation Management System (TMS) Oversight: Ensured that the TMS was consistently updated with accurate information, reflecting the real-time status of freight operations and facilitating effective load management.
Issue Resolution: Proactively resolved common logistics issues such as Truck Order Not Used (TONU), Detention, Layover, and Lumper, minimizing disruptions and maintaining operational flow.
High-Volume Communication: Made a minimum of 100 calls per day to address issues and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders, including shippers, delivery sites, and Account Managers, ensuring everyone was kept informed.
Client Relationship Management: Developed and maintained strong relationships with clients, enhancing business growth through proactive engagement and superior service.
Data Management and Retargeting: Organized and managed data for retargeting efforts, optimizing opportunities to reconnect with potential clients and drive business growth.
Social Media Engagement: Actively engaged with the social media community, leveraging platforms to enhance visibility and connect with potential clients and partners.
Market Analysis: Conducted comprehensive market analysis to assess business performance against current market conditions, identifying areas for improvement and strategic opportunities.
Communication with Management: Maintained regular communication with the management team, providing updates on operational status, market insights, and business development opportunities.
