Streamlining HDFC Money Transfers
As the Product Designer for HDFC's money transfer feature, I spearheaded a redesign to enhance user experience and simplify financial transactions. The previous system faced issues like lengthy processes, unclear bank-payee associations, and redundant IFSC code entries, leading to user frustration and errors.

Key Changes:

Three-Step Process: Simplified the journey into Initiate, Review, and Success, making transactions more intuitive.
Auto-Selection of Transfer Modes: Eliminated the need for users to manually select transfer modes based on entered amounts.
Enhanced Account Displays: Improved clarity by showing account type, name, and number in dropdown menus for easier identification.

Impact:

26.4% increase in digital adoption.
40% rise in successful transactions.
73% boost in user satisfaction and engagement.
22% reduction in transaction time due to a user-friendly search bar.
The redesign is currently being tested with a closed user group of around 10 million, with positive feedback anticipated for HDFC’s 68 million users.
