The PBS KIDS Super Vision app gives parents a real-time feed of what their kids are playing and learning across several PBS KIDS experiences, including PBSKIDS.org and the Measure Up! app.
It also comes packed with useful tools like localized TV times for PBS KIDS Shows a play timer that lets parents pause connected apps on their schedule.
Some games and apps support a deeper level of integration with PBS KIDS Super Vision. This allows parents to track the skills in which their kids excel, and the skills where they may need more practice.

During the design process we tested the app with parents on paper, focus on evaluating our written elements, the app's tone of voice, and ease of understanding the data presented. We also tested the app in interactive prototype form, focusing on broader navigational concepts, connection setup, and user preferences about managing kid's data. This testing was crucial for informing the app’s direction and our perceptions of who our users really were.

Press and Reception

A highlight of the project for me was the above commercial that ran on PBS TV stations! The app was well received and was written up in Wired, USA Today, PC MAG and Forbes.
PBS KIDS eventually stopped support for the app a few years later
