UX Case Study: Daily Ziker App

Introduction:

The Daily Ziker app aims to provide Muslims with a user-friendly and accessible way to incorporate daily azkar (remembrances) and duas (supplications) into their lives. This case study details the UX design process, focusing on pain points, solutions, and the final design.
My Role: UX Designer & Visual UI Artist
Keywords: Muslim App, Daily Azkar, Dua, Supplication, Islamic App, UX Design, Mobile App
Target Audience: Muslims seeking a convenient and accessible way to incorporate daily supplications into their lives.

The Problem:

Many Muslims struggle to memorize and consistently recite daily azkar and duas. Traditional methods may involve physical booklets or memorization, which can be inconvenient or challenging for busy lifestyles.

Pain Points:

Inaccessibility: Difficulty accessing specific azkar and duas without readily available resources.
Inconvenience: Traditional methods can be cumbersome or impractical for daily use.
Inconsistent Practice: Difficulty maintaining a consistent routine for reciting azkar and duas.

Solution:

The Daily Ziker app addresses these pain points by offering:
Comprehensive Azkar & Dua Library: A searchable database of over 300 categorized azkar and duas for various situations.
Audio Recitations: Ability to listen to high-quality audio recordings of azkar and duas for pronunciation guidance and ease of use.
Daily Reminders: Customizable notifications to remind users to recite azkar and duas throughout the day.
Tracking & Progress: Track daily and weekly progress to maintain motivation and consistency.
Arabic & Translation: View azkar and duas in Arabic script with translations in multiple languages.
User-Friendly Interface: Intuitive and visually appealing design for easy navigation and accessibility.

UX Design Process:

User Research: Conducted online surveys and interviews with Muslim users to understand their needs and challenges regarding daily azkar and duas.
Information Architecture: Developed a sitemap that categorized azkar and duas by theme, making it easy for users to find specific supplications.
Wireframing & Prototyping: Created low-fidelity wireframes to establish the core functionalities and user flow. Subsequently, high-fidelity prototypes were developed for usability testing.
Usability Testing: Conducted usability tests with target users to identify any issues with navigation, functionality, and clarity of information.
Visual Design: Designed a clean and modern UI, incorporating Islamic design elements to create a visually appealing and culturally relevant experience.
Iteration & Refinement: Based on user testing feedback, iterated on the design to enhance usability and address any pain points.

Final Design:

The Daily Ziker app features a user-friendly interface with clear navigation. Users can browse categorized aziker and duas, access audio recitations, set personalized reminders, track their progress, and view translations. The app utilizes Arabic script along with user-selected language translations for inclusivity.

Impact:

The Daily Ziker app aims to empower Muslims to easily integrate daily azkar and duas into their lives. By removing barriers to access and offering user-friendly features, the app fosters consistent practice and spiritual growth.
Future Considerations:
Integration with wearable devices for on-the-go reminders.
Personalized recommendations based on user preferences and needs.
Social features to connect with other users and share prayer requests.
