Client: McKarcher Law
Industry: Estate Planning & Legal Services
Scope: Complete website design and client conversion system
Timeline: 2 weeks
Overview
McKarcher Law needed a digital presence that could demystify estate planning while building trust with families facing difficult decisions.
The challenge: make legal complexity feel approachable without sacrificing professional credibility or oversimplifying the stakes.
Design Approach
Emotional Intelligence: Hero messaging that reframes estate planning from morbid necessity to protective act of love — "Protect What You've Built." Photography choices that emphasize legacy, family, and peace of mind over courtrooms and paperwork.
Progressive Disclosure: Information architecture that meets clients where they are — from "I haven't started" to "I need specialized help." The five-phase advisory process clearly outlined, removing ambiguity from what typically feels overwhelming.
Trust Building: Strategic placement of client testimonials, transparent service breakdowns, and accessibility signals (text/call options with local precision). Every element answers the question: "Can I trust you with my family's future?"
Technical Build
Service categorization by client need, not legal jargon
Multi-touchpoint conversion system (schedule consultation, ask questions, contact form)
Mobile-optimized with click-to-call prominence
FAQ accordion to address common hesitations
Location-specific trust signals throughout
Result
A website that transforms estate planning from "something I should do eventually" into "something I can do today." The design removes fear through clarity and builds urgency through empathy.
Professional enough to handle complex estates. Approachable enough to welcome first-time planners. Conversion-focused without feeling transactional.
The kind of digital presence that makes families feel safe before they ever walk through the door.
