Core Deliverables

Assessment and Strategy Development: Initially, I conducted an in-depth assessment of their existing processes and systems. This laid the foundation for a tailored DevOps strategy that aligned with the team's unique goals and challenges. Identified bottlenecks in their software development and deployment, which were affecting their ability to rapidly respond to changing game requirements and fan expectations.
Infrastructure Modernization: Modernized their infrastructure by migrating legacy workloads to AWS and GCP like GCP and implementing Kubernetes for container orchestration. This allowed for seamless scaling during high-demand periods, such as game nights, while optimizing costs during off-peak times.
Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Established robust CI/CD pipelines using Github Actions and ArgoCD to automate software testing, integration, and deployment. This enabled the Hawks' development team to release updates and new features faster, ensuring a more engaging fan experience through the team's mobile app and website.
IaC: Prioritized Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, allowing us to provision, manage, and scale infrastructure seamlessly. Terraform's code-driven approach ensured consistency and repeatability in infrastructure provisioning, further improving operational efficiency.
Security and Compliance: Implemented security best practices throughout the development and deployment pipeline, ensuring that fan data and sensitive information remained protected.
Monitoring and Analytics: Introduced advanced monitoring and analytics tools to gain real-time insights into the performance of their digital platforms using Prometheus and Grafana. This allowed the Hawks to make data-driven decisions, optimize the fan experience, and address issues proactively.
