Reel App

Reel App is a modern Android application that allows users to sign up, log in, view reels, and manage their accounts. Users can upload, like, follow, and share reels using dynamic links. This app is built with Jetpack Compose and Kotlin, following modern Android development best practices.

Features

User Authentication:

Authentication is handled with Firebase Authentication.

View Reels:

Browse through various user-uploaded reels.

Reels can be liked and shared.

Upload Reels:

Users can upload their own reels.

Reels can be tagged with relevant categories.

User Profile:

Manage user profile.

Change profile picture, username, and bio.

Like and Follow:

Like any reel.

Follow users to get updates on their new uploads.

Dynamic Links:

Share reels through dynamic links generated by Firebase Dynamic Links.

Prerequisites

Before running this app, ensure you have the following installed:

Android Studio

Kotlin (1.5 or higher)

Firebase project for authentication and dynamic links

Setup

Clone the repository:

Open the project in Android Studio.

Add your Firebase configuration to the project:

Go to Firebase Console and create a new project.

Set up Firebase Authentication and Dynamic Links in your Firebase Console.

Add the google-services.json file to the app directory of your project.

Sync Gradle files to ensure dependencies are correctly installed.

Running the App

Build the app by clicking on Build > Make Project in Android Studio.

Connect your Android device or use an emulator.

Run the app by clicking on the Run button in Android Studio.

Follow the on-screen instructions to sign up or log in to start viewing and uploading reels.
