Dynamics 365 and Power Apps Customization

Industry: Project Management, I.T Objective: To redesign the out-of-the-box Microsoft Project for the Web into a bespoke Enterprise Project & Portfolio Management (PPM) platform that mirrors the client's unique governance, reporting, and lifecycle management requirements.

The Challenge: The client's project management processes were hindered by a generic tool that couldn't adapt to their needs for tracking programs, risks, phase-gates, resource bookings, and change requests. This led to fragmented data and manual workarounds.

The Solution: I architected and developed a centralized management hub using the Power Platform. The solution featured:

A Model-Driven Power App as the primary interface, customizing entities like Risks, Issues, and Change Requests within the Dataverse.

Power Automate workflows to automate critical processes, including change tracking and phase transitions.

Power BI Dashboards for portfolio-level reporting and analytics.

JavaScript for implementing complex business rules and enhancing the user experience beyond standard configurations.
