The Czech Union of Nature Conservationists/ Český Svaz Ochránců Přírody (ČSOP) is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation dedicated to nature conservation. They wanted the squirrel symbol in the logo because it is kind of a symbol of the town of Františkovy Lázně, where this particular branch is located. The colour orange was a requirement as well. The symbol of the squirrel works as a recognition sign and can be used independently in informal communication.
