Linkmedia 2026
Linkmedia is a creative production studio based in Portugal that posses the expertise, the studio, and the tools. But more than these, the brand is positioned as a Bridge that exists to help ideas move from imagination to execution, a Link between creative vision and desired executed result. Art Direction
While creating Linkmedia's identity system, I questioned many aspect of the brand to direct how the brand should be seen and how it should speak, at the center of all these questions lies a crucial one which is how do you create an identity for a creative production studio that serves a diverse portfolio of audiences without speaking to one sector than the other?
We did quite a number of explorations (me, myself, and I), some felt too cinematic, making the brand appear to be solely a film production studio. Some leans more towards individuals (like podcasters and content creators). After several iterations, I discovered the direction that truly captured the essence of the brand.
This direction utilizes the usage of typography (Neue Montreal) as the primary storytelling device. Through layout and composition, one part of focal messages appears to originate from one point while the other part is coming from another visually conveying the idea of a link, a bridge or we can even say collaboration which is essentially what the brand positioning is about; "Bridging the gap between creative vision and professional execution".
To ensure flexibility, and consistency across multiple areas, I explored how this approach would look on different layouts, messaging structure, dimensions, and even with colors applications.
For the color system, I intentionally choose two dominant colors with the goal to further reinforce the brand's positioning as professional, dependable, and high-quality creative partner (or as i would love to term them: Linker, or Bridger) rather than diluting with variety of color palette as colors often change meaning according to various context. However, we still choose some supporting colors taking inspirations from the fundamental operation of colors from both digital displays and physical printing.
In the end, the result wasn't another identity for a production studio. It is one that reflects how Linkmedia thinks, collaborates, creates and operates generally.
